Lessons

So I am having a not-so-good day. Not bad....just generally sucky.
So I am recaping on the lessons from today:
1. Don't watch scary zombie movies before you go to bed. Especially when you have to get up the next morning at 5am to go to Indy to show a bunch of physics demos to middle, high and some elementary school students. Dawn of the Dead is not the kind of movie that allows one to sleep well. Or at all. And the getting up before the sun is still freaky. I kinda wished I had a lead pipe or a gun or something...you know, like I could show up Ving Rymes...or however his name is spelled.

2. LOWER MY EXPECTATIONS. Just cause I'm all crazy work-ethic about physics and this department doesn't mean everyone else is. Or anyone else, for that matter.. (Except Ray, of course) So I spent 7 hours getting demos and posters made for the international science fair today yesterday. So I was EARLY this morning, while some were 20 min. late...no no, you go ahead and eat lunch first. Go ahead. I'll wait. Grrr, ok, angry bitch rant. Thanks. (for your patience)

3. Make my key stay a little longer in the door. That way, when I go to lift weights, and my key shines that little red light cause it won't open the doors to the fitness center...and then my apartment...and my phone, my pants everything are inside that apartment I don't freak out and drive to Ray's apartment to use his phone to call Chris to get my roommate's number who is out of town to get the emergency number. (RUNON) Then, the guy drives all the way from Anderson to show me that the key actually does work. Ha...silly me. I watched Survivor instead of working out. And can you believe that they didn't vote Terry off? DUMBASSES.

4. Get over myself. and stop being such a bitch. Sorry, hon. On days like this I just want to cuddle, and I know you can't today. And I didn't get to run. No excuses though. I'm working on it. I love you.

IN OTHER NEWS
I get to go back to the International Science Fair tomorrow. I hope someone translates for me again. That was cool today, when a lady translated my little speak about my fiber optics demos.

I pulled off A- this semester in Astrophysics II, Quantum II and Thermodynamics. I got a B in my C++ class and a C+ in my Boundary Value Problems class. Who the fuck gives an ORAL FINAL? Seriously...I got a 40% on it. Which is better than I did on the final last semester for this prof.

So the gpa is stagnate at it's very comfortable 3.4.....Dean's list is 3.5. I am proud I have not cried about that this semester. Just accepting.

SO yeah....I am trying to finish this beer. Maybe I should go out and drink tomorrow. I need to get more beers on my card at the Heorot. Yes, I started a card. Should have about 9 months ago, but whatever. Now I have to drink 100 different beers in 6 months. The first 9 months were my warm up period....a gestation you might say. LOL. I can do it....

Had an interesting conversation with a local the other day. I went to Lowes to buy corks for my fiber optics demo for this SPS thing we are doing this week. Some guy walks up to me and here follows the conversation:
HIM: "Excuse me, but I just have to ask. Can I buy you dinner sometime?"
ME: "Ummm, actually I am seeing someone."
HIM: "Ohhh...well, you know, I just had to ask."
And I walked away. Bought my corks. Left store...checked to see if I was being followed. No creepy stalkers...yet. But, you have to wonder about anyone who approaches me like that based on my looks. They seriously have to be into little kids or something.
I don't think I want to go back to Lowes without a chaperone...probably a good idea.

Ok, I think I have thuroughly updated the past month and a half or so. Which all except this past week have been pretty much just SCHOOL.
2 more weeks and it will be all work.
I am going to "see" black holes this summer.
As soon as those x-ray specs come in the mail from all my cereal boxes. Boo-Yah.
